In April 2020, life threw me a curveball. The pandemic hit, and I was laid off from a small recruiting agency. At first, it felt devastating, but that moment turned into an amazing blessing. Through the power of my professional network, I discovered Career Coaching. Suddenly, everything clicked. It wasn’t just about helping people land jobs anymore; it was about empowering them to dream bigger, aim higher, and take control of their futures. I discovered what it felt like to wake up each morning genuinely excited about the work I was doing. Serving others through education and assisting them with their career searches. This was where I was meant to be!

But in late 2024, another layoff hit me—this time, harder. Losing a Career Coaching role that felt so aligned with my purpose felt unfair. It left me questioning why the universe seemed to be working against me. Still, I approached the experience with fresh perspective. I realized I didn’t want to rely on another organization to define the reach I could offer to others. So, I decided to take control of my own future.

That’s how Empower & Elevate was founded. As a Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC) and Professional Resume Writer, I’ve committed to helping others navigate their career journeys with confidence and clarity. Over the past 5 years, I’ve worked with more than 1,700 career seekers, including military veterans, career changers, and those launching new careers in a variety of industries. My speciality is in IT, Cybersecurity, Software Development, and AI but have worked with clients of all levels.
